Numbers for Canning and Clyde Roads

In May - June 2023 Croydon Council measured traffic in the large Healthy Streets project area covering Cherry Orchard Road to Shirley Road and from Lower Addiscombe Road to Addiscombe Road.

On this page we are giving you the figures for Canning and Clyde Roads. The buttons below will link you to the data for the whole of the areas measured in 2023 and 2017.

For comparison – here are the figures for 2023 and 2017. The 2017 figures are after Lebanon Road had been closed to northbound traffic and Addiscombe Court and Canning Roads were taking all the northbound traffic in the part of Addiscombe Road between Colson and Canning Roads.

The 2023 stats only show the 12 hour average (7 am to 7 pm). The 2017 stats show both the 12 hour and 24 hour average. I have included the 24 hour stats because at least one resident in Canning Road – and there may have been others - was regularly woken up at night by cars going over a nearby speed hump.
